Below we have given a brief description of several types of burial services from which you may choose. If you have any further question regarding Burial please contact us.

Traditional Funeral Service

A traditional Funeral Service usually is made up of three sequences. There is usually a visitation, viewing or "wake", held at the funeral home. You may choose another location such as a church or the family's home. After the visitation there is a funeral service held at your church or in our chapel. Burial will follow at the cemetery of your choice.

Graveside Service

A Graveside Service is defined as a funeral service that takes place at the graveside instead of a church or chapel. There is usually a visitation at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.

Immediate Burial

Immediate Burial defines that burial takes place at the cemetery, without visitation or service at the gravesite.

Burial Product Options

Allnutt Funeral Service provides a wide selection of burial caskets. We present York caskets, known as one of the finest lines of caskets manufactured. We can also provide other casket selections available to funeral homes.

Caskets are made of two materials: either metal or wood. The finest quality metal casket is made of bronze, followed by copper then stainless steel. Steel caskets are manufactured from varied weights of material. For example, 16-gauge steel is the heaviest, followed by 18-gauge steel, with the lightest being 20-gauge steel. The metal caskets we offer are also gasket sealed, which means when the casket is locked an air and watertight seal is created (according to the (manufacturers). Bronze and Copper caskets are rust and corrosion resistant. If you select a premium grade of stainless steel it will also be corrosion resistant.

Hardwood caskets are constructed from Mahogany, Walnut, Oak, Cherry, Poplar and Pine. The selection of the casket is very important for the price consideration, as well as the material that will compliment the life of the deceased. Each hardwood casket is unique, as the grain of the wood is expressly different in each casket. The hardwood casket exemplifies beauty and warmth while the metal casket shows strength with various color presentations.

Choosing a vault is a very important element of the burial process. Most cemeteries have requirements regarding the use of burial vaults. Vaults are available in standard concrete, steel, porcelain lined steel, and bronze lined concrete.
